This race claims to be the longest running Xterra race in the continental US! This year a legend in Tennessee, professional triathlete Craig Evans, took over the race director role. The race is held at Lock 4 park in Gallatin, TN – a great venue near Nashville, TN. Hit the race while your family sleeps in and enjoys everything Nashville has to offer.
The swim felt longer than 0.5 miles – not sure if the current was against us or if I was just weak. Bike was fairly fast, a bit rooty in sections, and required two laps. Similar for the run: 2 laps of 2.1 miles each. The bike and run are on different trails with the run being a bit smoother.
0.5 mile swim, 12 mile bike, 4.2 mile run
